Ever wanted to be a bit like Jesus? In Bokrijk, you kinda can. Cycle through water on a 200m trail that runs through a pond.

Where better to find a totally unique and memorable biking experience than in Limburg, Belgium's cycling capital. Hop on your bikes and peddle over to Bokrijk Estate, near Genk.

There you'll find a path that leads you right through, (yes, through!) the middle of a pond. With water at eye-level on both sides of you, stop to greet inquisitive ducks and geese. Cycle along this one-of-a-kind bike path and experience a sustainable architectural gem. Oh, and this sort of goes without saying, but this is a super cool nature photo spot!

'Cycling Through Water' Cycle Route

You'll find the path and pond in Limburg's De Wijers nature domain. All around Bokrijk and De Wijers there are cycle paths that'll take you to 'Cycling through Water'. But here is one of our favourite.

This easy cycling route from Bokrijk Station will show you the best of the area in about 2 hours. Peddle through the nature surrounding Hasselt and Genk, stop off at Herkenrode Abbey and of course, cycle through some water!
