Glow up your day by meeting tons of animal buddies at the wild animal sanctuary. Over 300 animals have a home here.

All kinds of rescued animals have got a home at the wild animal sanctuary. De Zonnegoeld means “A Glow of Sunshine”. Yup, it’s as wholesome as you’d expect. Say hi to the animals for us. Give ‘em a wave or help to feed ‘em. Go with friends, as a family, couple, or even solo. Perfect for animal lovers!

De Zonnegoeld has rescued hundreds of animals from poor conditions. See the meerkats, swans, owls, arctic foxes and many more in their new, comfy home.

Family Friendly: there’s lots to do for children at the sanctuary. There’s two playgrounds (one indoors, one outdoor). If you know Dutch, check out the scavenger hunt too. It’s an interactive, free activity for kids to help them learn about animals.

  • Guided Tours: the tours last 45 mins. Learn about the different animals rescued here at the sanctuary from an animal caretaker or even one of the founders. Plus, you get to go behind the scenes for extra deets and hear about how the Sanctuary got started.
  • Feeding Time: join the animal caretakers in feeding the animals from 14:00 to 16:30. The animals all have different feeding times, so if there’s one you want to see then plan ahead. The caretakers also answer questions from you and children about the animals. Really, it’s lunch and a show.
