One of the best rooftop bars in Prague! See stunning views of Prague Castle from the unique Dancing House.

From the outside, the Dancing House doesn’t fit in with the historic Czech architecture at all but its uniqueness brings tourists from all around the world to take funny pose pictures with it. If you go across the street and stand on the grassy patch (thank you, Honest Guide) you can take some great pictures with the Dancing House. Its unique style is a bit like the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy! So take some silly pictures outside before actually heading inside.

Once you’re inside, you’ll just walk through the entrance and take the elevator up towards the rooftop where the magic starts! Prague is becoming known for its rooftop bars and the one at the top of the Dancing House takes the cake.

Sit inside and enjoy a nice meal or grab a drink. Want dinner and a view? Get some fresh air at the rooftop bar for views of the Vltava River and the Prague Castle.

  • We have the President at the time of construction to thank for this masterpiece. Many were opposed to having such a building stand out among the Baroque, Gothic styled buildings but the President thought the Dancing House would bring a new sense of culture and was very supportive. So thank you Mr Past President of the Czech Republic.
  • The exact spot where the Dancing House is today was bombed in 1945 which destroyed the building that was there before. It’s crazy how significant some moments in history can be. Thankfully, the Dancing House rose from the ashes into an iconic landmark of Prague where people from all over can come and enjoy a drink with a view.
  • The Dancing shape of the building has to be seen in person. Photos won’t do it justice! (although it is fun to pretend like you’re kicking it)

We walk by the Dancing House all the time and it’s still just as interesting as the first time we saw it. One thing we recommend to everyone is checking out the rooftop bar which has an incredible panoramic view over the city.
