The smallest city in the world but packs big charm! Check out the cobbled streets, local shops and food.

Never heard of Durbuy before? Only about 400 people live in this city, making it the smallest city in the world right now. Durbuy is known for its cute cobbled streets and village charm. Come by the city centre to walk through the charming streets. Find restaurants, local shops and cozy bars.

  • The oldest street: take a walk along the oldest street of Durbuy, de Rue Daufresne de la Chevalerie. It’s covered with stones of the Ourthe river and makes for a cute photo spot.
  • Arr, matey!: Wait, there’s pirates in Durbuy? Yup, go to Tortuga Bar in the heart of Durbury for a cocktail bar, pirate-y shop and gun wall display.
  • Highest point: looking for a picnic spot? Nature lovers should grab their snacks and picnic baskets and go to Avenue Hubert Philippart. There’s parking on the street, too. From here, you'll see views of nature, and Falize rock which is the highest point of Durbuy.
  • Quirky butchers: Durbury is full of the unusual, but one thing that might catch your eye is the butchers Boucherie Serge Bodson. A pig statue stands outside the shop, looking in at the meat on its hind legs. Yup, we don’t have time to unpack all of that!
