Back in the 1800s, Le Botanique was built as a private space for the elites. How times have changed! Pop along Le Botanique to check out the cultural events and former gardens.

Detailed origin story: The elites eventually moved out and took their exotic plants with them following a financial dip in 1960, the government stepped in and eventually was turned into the beautiful plant veranda area called Le Botanique, a cultural center with three concert halls that can hold up to a thousand visitors.

  • Stroll in the gardens: relax in Le Botanique’s garden. It’s free to wander the small but charming garden. There’s pretty flowers and a small hedge maze in front of Le Botanique to snap up photos of.
  • Feel the music: Le Botanique hosts concerts all the time from indie folk music, rap to raw acoustic performances. Music lovers have tons of choice. Le Botanique is known for its concerts of emerging artists.
  • Art time: check out the museum for temporary art exhibits showing off contemporary art goodies. The temporary art exhibits change every few months or so. From unusual photographs to big outdoor art installations, it’s worth checking out what Le Botanique has on right now.
