Paddle Boats on Vltava River

Looking for some fun in the sun? There’s no better activity than cruising down the Vltava River on a paddle boat!

Ready for some fun in the sun? Paddle boating is one of our favourite summer activities! There’s a reason why the Vltava River gets filled with them when the weather starts warming up.

Grab a few friends, some snacks, and drinks and enjoy a day out on the water. The best part is you are more or less free to roam where you want and at your own pace. If you just want to sit and relax on the boat in the middle of the river while enjoying snacks and good company then do that. If you want to explore a little bit then do that too!

In the summer months, you’ll see so many swans and vintage cars (two different styles of paddle boats) floating in the Vltava. It’s such a fun and inexpensive activity that is great if you’re looking for something to do outdoors on a sunny day.

• You can walk from downtown to the little island where the paddle boats go from. It’s a nice little walk along the Vltava River.
• It’s quite common to rent the boats for 1-2 hours but if you want to spend all day on the river and have enough food and snacks then book it for the whole afternoon. Especially if you’re with a group of friends. You won’t want to get off!
• Once you’re on the boat go down the Vltava River towards the castle and you will be able to get some amazing pictures with the castle in the background.
