A fun, well loved animal park for the whole family where you can soak up some wholesome vibes.

Pakawi Park is a neighbourhood zoo cherished by the locals that brings in about 200,000 visitors every year. While Pakai is a smaller zoo, it really brings a friendly vibe and allows you to get up close and personal with the animals. In other words, there’s lots to see for the whole family, including your dog!

With a big indoor jungle gym playground, this zoo is a great place to host kids’ birthday parties or just fantastically fun family outings.

  • There are 60 points of interest on the park’s map to see something for everyone as some of these include kids play areas. The rest are the many different animal enclosures home to the chimpanzees, lions, tigers and bears just to name a few.
  • The park also has regular events planned along with animal births, newcomers, exchange projects, throughout the year there is regularly something new to experience!
  • Hungry? There is usually food on site by local caterers.

  • By Car: parking available on site. This park is a 10 min drive from the city of Balen.
  • By Bus: 14 min walk from bus stop Olmen Heivoort. Bus 170 stops here.
