Take a walk out into nature in the Lesse Valley. Known for its 4km family friendly walk and Roman baths.

In the heart of the Lesse Valley, Park Furfooz is a nature walk hotspot that’s loved by casual walkers and families. Get those legs moving on a beginner friendly 4km trek by the river and up the valley. Discover the long history of Wallonia, displayed in Roman baths and hidden in the caves.

Nature at its best: there’s 15 view points throughout the walk so you can snap up as many photos of Park Furfooz and the valley as you like. Keep an eye out for Roman walls and an ancient burial grave site in the caves.

  • 4km family friendly walk: Follow the yellow signs. It’ll take you about 2 hours. The walk takes you up to many cave points, walk across bridges and stone steps through the rolling hills. Plus, views of the river and the Lesse valley!
  • Roman baths: the Romans knew how to take a bath in style. These baths date back to the 3rd century, but are fully operational today. They’re only open during some events, though.
  • A bit of history: people have found a home in the valley for thousands of years. No, really, 14,000 years. Park Furfooz is mostly known for its Roman parts, but there’s an even deeper history in these caves!
